INVESTING IN OUR COMMUNITIES

In keeping with our vision, mission and values, MaineHealth offers a wide range of community programs focused on disease management, prevention and population health — free of charge — and no one is ever denied care because of inability to pay.

In 2020, the MaineHealth quantifiable value of community benefits at cost was over $662 million*.

* On March 1, 2020, MaineHealth became the sole corporate member of Mid Coast – Parkview Health, resulting in an additional $31.8 million in community benefits provided by MaineHealth for FY 2020. The FY 2020 totals also include significant shortfalls incurred from Medicare Advantage plans and out-of-state Medicaid programs. These shortfalls were not included in prior year calculations of MaineHealth’s community benefits.
